A group of teenagers were caught driving a stolen car and trying to go through unlocked vehicles Tuesday in Jamesport, according to police.
Authorities say they were driving around neighborhoods in a car previously stolen from its owner in Calverton.
An investigation revealed that they had been rifling through vehicles in search of valuables in Mattituck and Laurel.
Officers arrested a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old and charged them with criminal possession of stolen property.
An 18-year-old male was also apprehended and charged with criminal possession of stolen property as well as criminal trespass.
