A 19-year-old Nassau County resident was kidnapped and held at a Huntington motel, according to police.
Authorities say Balraj Singh, of Queens, threatened the female victim over numerous weeks — both verbally and electronically.
Court documents say they knew each other for over a year.
Court documents say Singh is accused of demanding the teen to meet him in Woodbury on July 6 and that he threatened her, saying, "I will slice you like an orange" and threatened to attack her family.
The 28-year-old then hit her in the face and drove her to the Abbey Motor Inn on West Jericho Turnpike, flashed a boxcutter and refused to let her leave. He allegedly said, "You're never going back home."
The teen was able to call 911 from there. After an extensive investigation, she was located, and Singh was placed under arrest without incident.
Police say that Singh had a valid order of protection and is charged with kidnapping, criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, aggravated harassment, harassment and menacing.
He was arraigned on Tuesday at the First District Court in Hempstead. He pleaded not guilty.
