A sailboat ran aground on a Westhampton beach, according to Westhampton Beach police.
The unoccupied vessel washed ashore on the oceanfront side of Dune Road near Lashley's Beach.
The vessel was sailing 30 miles off of Fire Island on Saturday when bad weather struck, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound.
It says the two passengers on the sailboat became sick and were taken off by the Coast Guard.
The boat washed up on the beach on Tuesday.
