Suffolk County lawmakers will once again try to question representatives from Flock Safety, the controversial, growing license plate reader company, over rising public safety concerns.
This morning, the company is scheduled to present before the legislature's Public Safety Committee.
There are hundreds of these license plate readers across Long Island.
Some have applauded the technology for expanding law enforcement's ability to investigate crimes and find missing people, while others have raised privacy concerns.
Several cameras on Long Island have been
damaged this year in protest over the surveillance.
This morning's meeting will take place at the Suffolk County Legislature Building in Smithtown at 9:30 a.m.
