yesterdayOfficials say the man accused of stabbing a Suffolk police officer is now facing 10 new charges for damaging cars.
Body camera footage from May 6 shows Steven Vasquez stabbed an officer in the thigh and slashed him in the face.
Police say they were called about two men trying to steal from cars on Gibbs Road in Amity Harbor.
Vasquez is charged with 10 incidents involving damage to vehicles in East Farmingdale and Copiague dating back to April 18.
