The National Republican Congressional Committee has announced that GOP congressional candidate Jeanine Driscoll (R-Bellerose Village) has been added to its MAGA Majority program, a campaign initiative designed to support Republican candidates across the country ahead of the 2026 elections.
According to the NRCC, the program is backing what it calls “the next wave of America First candidates who will help expand the Republican House majority in 2026.”
Maureen O'Toole, a spokesperson for the NRCC, said Driscoll will benefit from the resources provided through the initiative.
"She's going to have the support from this program to ensure she has the resources to get across the finish line in November," O'Toole said.
O'Toole also pointed to what she described as growing support for Driscoll's campaign.
"The momentum and the energy on the ground favors her, and she's ready to seize the opportunity," she said.
Driscoll is challenging freshman Democratic Congresswoman Laura Gillen, who defeated then-incumbent Republican Congressman Anthony D'Esposito two years ago.
The nonpartisan Cook Political Report currently rates the race between Gillen and Driscoll as a contest that “leans Democrat.”
