A house fire early Saturday morning in Elmont left at least one person injured, according to police.
Fire officials responded to the scene at 52 Norfeld Blvd. just after 2 a.m.
As crews fought the flames, a partial collapse occurred on the second floor.
The critically injured occupant was hospitalized with smoke inhalation.
Five firefighters were also hurt. Two of them were treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
