Nassau County police invited residents of all faiths to build stronger ties with law enforcement during 'National Faith & Blue Weekend' event on Sunday.

The gathering was hosted at Young Israel of Woodmere on Peninsula Boulevard and gave families a chance to meet local officers while learning about their work.

Special demonstrations were given by the emergency services unit, bureau of special operations, canine unit and the arson bomb squad and electronics squad.
