A Manorville man was arrested after allegedly causing $416,500 worth of damage at the Pine Hills Golf and Country Club on two separate occasions.
Court records say 24-year-old Joseph Manzella drove a Chevy Impala onto the course on Oct. 11 of last year, damaging the green and two sand bunkers on holes 13 & 14, causing $260,000 in damages.
Manzella also drove a BMW onto the course on Jan. 13 of last year, damaging the green on hole 13, the tee box on hole 14, the fairway on hole 15, and a bunker on hole 18, causing a total of around $150,000 in damages. The SCPD declined to provide further details on the incidents.
Manzella was arrested on Friday in Shirley at 2:17 p.m. in connection with the incidents. He is facing felony charges of two counts of criminal mischief.
Manzella was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday and has been released under supervised conditions. He is due back in court on May 12.
Representatives from the golf course did not return a request for comment.
