A Levittown man was arrested Thursday after an hourslong police response.
Police say the man was served an eviction notice on Gardenia Lane around 10:45 a.m.
They say he claimed to be in the military and have weapons, also that he wouldn't go down without a fight.
Authorities were at the home until about 2:30 p.m.
Law enforcement spoke with the man and eventually got him to come out.
They say an uninvolved second person and the man's wife also came out of the house.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said a loaded shotgun was found in the home.
He is charged with making a terroristic threat.
