Whispers Bridge will be hosting a kickoff event for its new wellness organization at the Dublin Deck Tiki Bar and Grill in Patchogue on Sunday.
The not-for-profit was recently started to help promote spiritual wellness and guidance for Long Islanders struggling with addiction and other life problems.
The local organization provides monthly wellness retreats and workshops.
Tricia Holloway, who helped start up Whispers Bridge, tells News 12 that she had battled her own demons until she met her co-founders.
"I had no self-worth no self-love and until I met these beautiful people that were also sober. I was able to find my true self," explained Holloway.
The not-for-profit is also trying to establish a local scholarship to help Long Islanders in recovery.
