Several people had to be rescued while jet skiing in both Nassau and Suffolk counties on Sunday.

Suffolk Police Marine Bureau officers responded to the Sayville area after a witness called 911 to report a watercraft capsize in the Great South Bay around 4 p.m.

A father and his two children, ages 16 and 10, were thrown into the water after their jet ski hit a wave, police say.

All three individuals were wearing life jackets and were not hurt.

In Nassau County, the Atlantic Beach Rescue Team assisted with two additional jet ski incidents, just hours apart.

First responders received the initial report around 12:45 p.m. for a partially submerged watercraft.

The occupant was found holding onto the Atlantic Beach bridge, before two swimmers helped bring him safely to the nearby dock where he was medically cleared.

As the earlier rescue was completed, the Atlantic Beach drone team were called to another jet ski in distress in Woodmere.

Three people were removed by Woodmere Fire Department's hovercraft in the bay of Crooked Creek around 5 p.m.

There were no reported injuries in the third incident either, officials say.
