A family of the world's largest rodent just got a little bigger on Long Island.

The Long Island Game Farm has announced the arrival of four capybara pups born this past week.

The farm says Lily the capybara gave birth on Friday afternoon, and both mom and her four pups are healthy and doing well.

“Watching Lily welcome her new litter has been such a heartwarming experience for our entire team," said Melinda Novak, president of the Long Island Game Farm. “She is such an attentive, wonderful mother, and seeing these four pups already exploring and thriving brings so much life and joy to the game farm.”

To mark the occasion, the farm will launch a naming contest for the pups.

The winner will be awarded an exclusive capybara encounter - along with an additional guest - to meet the new pups.
