A fire broke out in Medford after two cement trucks collided.
Suffolk fire officials say they got a call around 2:30 p.m. for a cement truck fire on Buffalo and Peconic avenues. The crash also involved a car carrier and was reportedly followed with an explosion.
The drivers of the vehicles were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, but their conditions are currently unknown.
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation says it is currently on scene and assessing the cleanup after a preliminary investigation showed that possibly 70 gallons of diesel were released that could impact storm drains.
