A bomb threat was made at Garden City Middle School on Monday, according to police.

Garden City police say they were alerted to the threat around 11:20 a.m.

The school on Cherry Valley Avenue was evacuated in accordance with the district’s emergency plan.

After an investigation and sweep of the school, police determined the threat to be unsubstantiated.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kusum Sinha said that after-school activities were canceled on Monday out of an abundance of caution.
