A Baldwin school bus aide has been arrested for allegedly physically and verbally abusing special needs students who attend the Grand Avenue School.

Nassau police say Devone Medlock, 37, of Amityville, exhibited violent behavior to multiple students with special needs while on the bus. This included pushing, slamming, restraining and sitting on students.

Medlock works for the First Student bus company and was arraigned today at the First District Court in Hempstead.

He as charged with assault, menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child.
