Tourism is a growing part of Long Island's economy, and Discover Long Island says it could be an $8 billion industry in the future.
The held an event today to talk about how to sustain that growth and strengthen local partnerships. COO of the organization Sharon Wyman says the booming tourism industry brought over 80,000 jobs to Long Island in 2025.
She says a big part of this year will be the U.S Open in Southampton this summer.
